Is CollegeItems right for me

CollegeItems is a best solution for all students who are interested in buying and selling their items. It provides the price quote to buy and sell items so students would not have to wander for finding an apartment or buying / selling items.

Is CollegeItems a free service?

Opening a CollegeItems account is free.

What is the best way to promote the product for attracting more buyers?

Sellers have a variety of methods to drive traffic to their Stores, including links to specific listings, links to their customized Store, and links to a customized Store category landing page.


1. When can I start buying or selling on CollegeItems?

To become either a buyer or a seller, you will have to register yourself at the time of signing in for the first time. Once you have created your profile and your email has been verified, you will be able to login, browse through categories of your choice, and buy or sell items.

2. What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

You can click on the link “Forgot Password” on the login page. An email containing the password reset link will be sent to your registered email account. Once you click on that link, you will be able to reset your password.

3. Can I have more than one account on CollegeItems?

A user will be able to use CollegeItems with a unique registered email address. If you have more than one account using different email addresses, you will still be able to use CollegeItems as two separate users. But it is recommended that a user uses one account so that you will be able to better track your offers and communication.

4. What devices or OS does CollegeItems run on?

Currently, CollegeItems could function on all mobile devices that run on both Android OS and iOS.


1. How do I search?

You will find a small magnifying glass on the top right of your CollegeItems app that will help you search based on your preferences.

2. Can I search with specific keywords?

Yes. You will be able to enter words of your choice into the search bar. The app will use these words to search across various offers to give you the results you want.

3. What are my options to customize my search?

You will be able to specify keywords in the search bar. But to further customize your search, you have the advantage of using the “Filter” button on the top left of your CollegeItems app. Using the Filter button, you can specify the city and zip code, the specific category, and many more.

4. How do I get the best search results?

This depends on the kind of keywords that you are using and also the filter criteria you apply. But if you are sure of the category you want to search in, it is recommended that you click on that particular category and then perform the search and filter operations.


1. How do I create a new offer?

You will need to click on the “+” button on the top right of your CollegeItems app to create a new offer. Once you click, you will have to enter your offer information, such as choosing the appropriate category, title, description, price, and pictures. You will be able to upload 5 pictures per offer, though this is not mandatory.

2. How do I modify or delete my offer?

You will need to click on Menu, and choose My Offers from the drop down list. From the list of your offers, choose the offer that you need to modify or delete, and click on the “compose” button for modification or “trash” button for deletion of your offer.


1. How do I contact the owner of a post? Whenever you click on an offer, you will see a “send message” button. If you click on it, you will be able to send a message directly to the owner of the offer. To see the continued chat thread, you can go to Menu, click on My Messages, and then choose the appropriate chat thread for the latest chat updates.

2. How will I be alerted of new messages?

CollegeItems enables you to receive latest updates to your messages. With only a connection the Internet, if you receive a reply, you will be able to see a notification under Menu, My messages.


1. How do I delete my account? You will be able to deactivate your account by going to Menu and Settings. If you want to reactivate your account to use CollegeItems, you have to register once again. If you use the same registration details like your first time, and if you register within 365 days from the day you had deactivated your account, you will still be able to view your old offer data.


1. How do I edit my profile information? You can go to Menu, and choose Settings to update or modify your profile information. You also have the option of adding a profile picture for your account, but this is not mandatory.
